SKETCHES portray myriad shades of human life with an analogous amalgamation with Nature. All aspects and issues affecting human lives – love, loss, loneliness, trust, devotion, sacrifice, divinity, sensuality, freedom and old age – have been meditated and reflected, using the various panoramas of nature and the changing seasons. These facets of human life, with their parallel roots in nature, are rendered from the poet’s perspective and brought to life. Through the simple and subtle verses, the poet delicately guides man to take retreat in nature, reconnect and seek refuge in her lap, and recognize the tremendous power of her wisdom. The thoughts, emotions, issues and the transitional stages of human life; aspects from genesis, burgeoning, senescence and death are intricately etched and interwoven with nature with grave meditation. Apparently it may seem to describe simple commonplace aspects of nature, but the mundane aspects go beyond to express intensions that delve deep into human life and intellect, exploring it, from the outer core to the inner. The world of nature is more pulsating and unpretentious than that of human senses; this is examined and brought alive through deep metaphorical association and the range of imaginations manifest in the nature that surrounds man. The poems seek to inspire man to tap into the universal impulses, to build and alter themselves and their lives, through its ingenious process.
