What is your greatest achievement?

I keep challenging myself and try to grow better in all aspect of life. I treat my success as a milestone and not as an achievement. That helps the fire in my belly to grow stronger and fuels my cravings for success.

High point of your life?

The period during which everything seemed merry. I was doing great at my work, my book coming up and the ringing of wedding bells.

Low point of your life

When nothing worked out and writing helped me to restore my sanity.

My mother

Naruto and my fictional hero, Harish

Miss Havisham

Who are your favorite authors?

I have a very long list and I will try to make it as short as possible. Rabindranath Tagore, Jane Austen, Agatha Christie, Jeffrey Archer, Sidney Sheldon, Karen Roberts, Lisa Kleypas, Julia Quinn and numerous other authors.

What are your 5 favorite books of all time?

Harry Potter, Emma, If tomorrow comes, The blossom sisters, How to win friends and influence people and of course my book, My heart forgot to beat.

Is there a book you love to reread?

I would love to read the above mentioned books numerous times.

What are your 5 favorite movies of all time?

I am not a movie buff though I do watch a few occasionally. My favourite movies would be Ip man, 50 first dates, Alaipayuthey, Jab we met and Bahubali.

One Superpower you wish you had?

Teleportation

As you sow, so shall you reap. Always give positivity to the cosmos so that it comes back two fold.

If you had a time machine to take you back to any country and any time period, where would you choose to be for your childhood, adolosent , adult life and silver years?

I wouldn’t want to change anything in my past as my present is directly dependant on my past. However I would prefer to use the time machine to travel to various countries in the past centuries to explore their culture. Especially I would to love to relish our Independence Day back in 1947.

If you could acquire any talent, what would it be?

I always wanted to learn a musical instrument.

Which book you wish you had written ?

The understanding and interpretations of every author is unique. If I had written any of those famous books out in the market, the story telling would have been totally different. So there is no such book that I wish I had written as I don’t want to change the storytelling style of my favourite books.

When and where do you write ?

At my home. The time would depend on my mood as sometimes I would write till 2 or 3 in the morning and sometimes I wouldn’t be able to frame a single sentence.

Do you have a writing ritual / superstition?

No, I am general not superstitious. Usually I don’t read books while I am in the process of writing as I don’t want to be influenced by other books and I want to be completely engrossed in my story.

What’s your guilty reading pleasure?

Certain things are safer to remain a secret :P

Do you have one sentence of advice for new writers?

Be positive and never give up.

Decided to become a cost accountant, but destined to become an author. Born in Chennai, Sridevi Sriraman is basically a finance professional and has excelled in French and Spanish. She had always been interested in writing since her childhood. One day, she decided to show the world what kind of a story she could weave. Thus she published this book. Another distinct quality about her is her skill in the field of fine arts. She is exceptionally good at painting.
