Secrets of my life. Ahh, I think I’m an exemplary clever at hiding them. My sexual fantasies – yeah, you read that right. I used to be a good cook when I was sixteen.

What’s your greatest fear?

Before I die, I would badly want my laptop and mobile formatted, destroyed.

What is your greatest achievement?

Okay – now serious My debut novel - “Corporate Stunts”

When I got my first job in IT.

During 9th grade, prelim exams when I scored 13/150 in Mathematics and 12/100 in English.

Katrina Kaif.

Aladdin

Prem from movie Bobby (Prem Chopra)

Who are your favorite authors?

Amish Tripathi – For giving a different spice / flavour of Indian literature, for the way he saw Mythology. Chetan Bhagat – For inspiring young generation to read and write, Ranjit Desai – For giving us such great historical novels like Swami, Shrimaan Yogi, etc, Pu La Deshpande – if someone can decode humour then he is the one for me.

I wish I had the ability to time travel – I would have gone back to my childhood, my parent’s childhood and of course to my future.

When and where do you write ?

Late nights work best for me, not some serene beach or a silent farm house but while I sit on my cosy bed and brew my thoughts as I sip on some coffee or while I get inspired by the hot girls in my colony watching them through my window, rainy days are the most productive.

Do you have a writing ritual / superstition?

One common name / character in any of my novel – Neha There has to be at least one character whose name begins with the letter ‘N’ Nishant Dixit in Corporate Stunts Neel Abhyankar in Back To School.

What’s your guilty reading pleasure?

I think it’s “YOU” section of Mumbai Mirror.

Do you have one sentence of advice for new writers?

If you think you can write, then go for it.

A debutante novelist Navin M. Karmarkar was born and brought up in Mumbai, Maharashtra and currently living with his Mom and Dad. At present, he is working in IT firm as a consultant. After spending some adventurous and hilarious time in Corporate, he thought of writing a novel getting inspired by his own and co-worker’s amazing life. Navin is very passionate about cricket. He is sentimentally attached to his family and friends. Beyond writing, he is a political cartoonist, who loves to draw sketches, enjoys blogging and a beginner in a guitar.
