What is your greatest achievement?

When I directed a short documentary film about Chennai Children's Choir (a group of Children from underprivileged backgrounds) - the film went to raise a fund of 33 lacs in 30 days which enabled the 25 kids to fly to Washington DC and represent the country in an international singing conference. The smile I saw in the eyes of these children when they knew that they will be flying to the US was priceless. That moment of pure joy they had in their innocent eyes, is my greatest achievement so far.

High point of your life?

Joining Studio A, a firm that helps me discover my passion and purpose on different levels in life and business.

One Superpower you wish you had?

To be able to change the world in the whoosh of a wand, where we let go of all materials and start a NEW life aligned to nature. Period.

If you had a time machine to take you back to any country and any time period, where would you choose to be for your childhood, adolosent , adult life and silver years?

I'd like to spend my childhood in my Native Kovilpatti where I've always felt belonged. I'd travel to Bali for my adolescent age and be learn farming. I'd like to spend my adult life in New Zealand as a farmer who earns his living on the field, and pursues writing. In my silver years, I wish to go to Kovilpatti again, where it all started, and then spend most of my time with the huge Neem tree in the middle of the house, and continue writing.

If you could acquire any talent, what would it be?

I'd love to learn a musical instrument, Violin preferably.

Which book you wish you had written ?

I wish to write my own stories.

I write here, and there, now, and then.

Do you have a writing ritual / superstition?

I believe in the magic of night. I bleed words from the inside through the fingers more naturally when the night kicks in.

Do you have one sentence of advice for new writers?

Write Every day. Period.

He dreamt to become a doctor, studied to become an engineer, aspired to become an Entrepreneur and ended up as a creative writer. Maverick Prem is an avid reader of people and nature, and draws inspiration from the simple everyday things he finds around. A firm believer in the magic of the universe, he has always taken life on the go and relishes the flow of instincts. He is currently working with Studio A, and is into creative writing, brand management, and documentary filmmaking. “When Souls Make Love” is his first book that revolves around the love that exists in the generation today.
