What’s your greatest fear?

The thought of losing near and dear ones at any point of life, scares me the most.

What is your greatest achievement?

Writing my first Novel ‘Aryaveer’, working as an Assistant Director in South Indian Super Hit movie, ‘The Great Father’, and directing my own short Film, ‘Vezhambal- Awaiting Justice’, are a few of my achievements. I value human relations more than money and fame. I have managed to preserve relations even in hostile circumstances and I consider this as my greatest achievement.

Sachin Tendulkar

Who is your favorite fictional hero?

Obviously it has to be Aryaveer, my obsession for him is irrevocable.

Amish Tripathi, Polo Coelho, Stephenie Meyer, J.K Rowling, Stephen King…

What are your 5 favorite books of all time?

The Alchemist is my most favourite book which I can read any number of times. Twilight, Carrie, Shiva Trilogy, Harry Potter series are the other books which I love.

One Superpower you wish you had?

I wish, I could read the minds of people. It would have prevented many disasters in my life.

Your epitaph would read? /Last line in your biography would be?

‘GAMBLED FOR NOTHING’

If you had a time machine to take you back to any country and any time period, where would you choose to be for your childhood, adolosent , adult life and silver years?

I would have gone back to the era in which Aryaveer lived, and spend my remaining life there.

When and where do you write ?

I can write anytime and anywhere, if I am in the right mood.

Silence or music?

Both have their place.

One phrase that you use most often?

I often repeat ‘Live and let live’.

Do you have a writing ritual / superstition?

Yes, I do have a habit of drawing ‘The Cross’ on the top of the page before writing anything.

Do you have one sentence of advice for new writers?

‘Write from your heart without any expectations’, that’s all I would like to say.

Mary is a writer of Indian origin, born in Ernakulum district of Kerala. Being the daughter of an Army Officer, she has been fortunate enough to experience different vibrant cultures of India. She is a passionate, optimistic and dedicated individual, who loves to give life to her imaginations, through writing. She is a graduate in Political Science [Hons], from Kolkata University, and holds a B.Ed degree from Tilak Maharashtra University. ‘Aryaveer- The Guardian of Dakshin Durgh’ is Mary’s first attempt in novel writing, which finally molded into a good work of fiction, after two years of hard work and perseverance. A resident of bustling Pune city, when she is not busy writing, Mary loves to splash some colors on her canvas.
