The day I realized that I can’t be a journalist for I must concentrate on becoming a teacher to support my family.

The Alchemist, The Old Man and the Sea, The Da Vinci Code, Feluda Series.

If you had a time machine to take you back to any country and any time period, where would you choose to be for your childhood, adolosent , adult life and silver years?

Childhood – Kolkata; for I want to rewrite a few pages of my childhood. Adolescent- Mauritius; for it enticed me always. Adult life- London; to catch up with the pace of Life. Silver years – Bhutan; Peace and Order lies there.

When and where do you write ?

At home and to the surprise of many, while traveling in passenger trains.

Silence or music?

Soft music, creating the impact of a soulful silence.

Do you have a writing ritual / superstition?

My rough drafts are generally written while travelling in train. Then I transfer those to my laptop to edit and to modify.

What’s your guilty reading pleasure?

Reading Movie Gossips.

Do you have one sentence of advice for new writers?

Nothing at present, as I am yet to establish myself an author.
