Three things people don’t know about you?

1) I have a great collection of instrumental songs. I have been collecting since my childhood days, and moved all my collections from cassette to digital media. I keep adding. 2) I am crazy about horse riding and golfing. 3) I am a die-hard fan of Britney Spears.

What’s your greatest fear?

I strive for perfections and if the things are not that perfect, I fear of inadequacy with the thought of unfulfilled dreams and it scares me the most in life.

What is your greatest achievement?

I wanted to see me established in the world of writers and that’s everything.

High point of your life?

I was choosen Mr. Fresher in MCA. The people attending the event loved me so much for my poem recitation and compositions. They swung me into the air when I got the title Mr. Fresher and surrounded me to have my compositions written on whatever piece of paper they could manage. I remember even writing for a final year students who compelled me so much to write my compositions with a note and autograph for them in their paper-form driving licences back then.

Low point of your life

In my professional life, I repetitively encountered with a Manager straight out of the hell; the corporate culture.

Yes, I believe I haven’t applied self-help lessons from the book titled ‘Creative Visualization’ authored by Richard Webster.

One Superpower you wish you had?

If I had the superpower, I would have descended dinosaurs on the earth.

I have left only the earth, the place in your heart is still occupied.

If you had a time machine to take you back to any country and any time period, where would you choose to be for your childhood, adolosent , adult life and silver years?

If such a thing as it is called time-machine would have existed to take me back, I would choose Spain for my childhood, Switzerland for adolescent, Germany for adult life, and Madagascar Island for silver years.

If you could acquire any talent, what would it be?

It would be scuba diving.

Ask not what your country can do for you; ask what you can do for your country.

Do you have a writing ritual / superstition?

I always choose Saturday late-night the beginning day of my writing assignment. The place that I choose to write is always a corner of the room, essence candle lit on the centre table; and dim light projected on the writing table.

What’s your guilty reading pleasure?

I choose reading books based on specific genre, but end up enjoying even science fiction.

Do you have one sentence of advice for new writers?

Please be patient if you are a new writer, your publication team always have plans not just to publish but to establish you.

Chet Kamal Parkash, a native of Jammu and Kashmir, is currently based in Ahmedabad as a Senior Technical Writer with Scanpoint Geomatics Ltd. He holds a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Computer Applications from the University of Pune and has been writing for IT companies for over ten years now. His passion for writing eventually inspired him to write this book. A man of varied interests, he also enjoys gardening, jogging, photography, blogging, travelling, reading, and spending time in nature.
