I like my environment harmonious and my surroundings beautiful, I love to visit old monuments and buildings hoping to hear an echo from the past, I am not a foodie but I like to cook Mughlai and Avadhi cuisine.

What’s your greatest fear?

I try to keep my fears at bay.

What is your greatest achievement?

I have kept moving forward inspite of the challenges; I take that as my greatest achievement.

High point of your life?

There have been quite a few: marriage, birth of my children and writing my first book.

If you had a time machine to take you back to any country and any time period, where would you choose to be for your childhood, adolosent , adult life and silver years?

I wish to go back and relive the carefree moments of childhood and adolescence and once again experience the love of my parents in my beloved Lucknow. For my adult years, I would like to go back to my University days and cherish each moment of youth and optimism before the stresses of life set in. When it comes to my silver years, ah well, they are still ahead of me so I wish to create as many wonderful moments with my family as possible and write to my heart’s content.

At my desk mostly, in the evening.

To binge on Gothic and Historical mysteries.

The more you read, the better you write.

Archana Pathak is based in Pune. She has done her Master's in English Literature and has taught English to senior classes for almost a decade and a half.
She is a voracious reader and has read a large number of books of various genres, but her preferred genre is mystery fiction. Her favourite authors are Daphne du Maurier, Dorothy Eden, M M Kaye, Patrick Rothfuss, Philippa Gregory, Victoria Holt, Mary Stewart and Phyllis A. Whitney. She is an ardent traveller and has a keen ear for music.
She has always been passionate about writing and has been writing blogs on and off. She writes short stories on her Instagram handle @a _tale _so _arcane. 'Footsteps in Time' is her debut novel. She is already working on her second novel and aims to be a full time writer.
