He blames his son who lives in Chreerimika with his wife Riddhi and their four daughters for amputating his leg. He takes it upon himself of remaining in this pessimistic mood until he dies. Natasha and her bonded servants Kamal and Kaka take care of the old man. Most of the time Baba lives in a pretended state of dementia. He throws tantrums, screams, and abuses and brings much anguish to Natasha Missy. Natasha’s added responsibility does not permit her to get married to her playwright lover Ozan who lives in a rustic village called Ondaatee.
