Review:

Seems like an incomplete story. I think it’s the first book of both the authors and they have ended up writing a story. Title of the novel is nice but the cover failed to relate to the title and the story. I first thought that it is some kind of inspirational book or so, but when I turned back to its blurb, I get it that it one of the romantic sagas. Blurb doesn’t help in arousing my interest though I completed this novel in one go. It starts with the introduction of Ashwin, his life and how his life treats him. He starts liking one of his schoolmates, makes attempt to be with her but the antagonist helps in giving him a shock. He then visit his best friend at Banaras there he get a new friend, a new life partner. He comes back to his hometown, but and so his school crush. I thought there would be something in the end, but they did not stand up to my expectations. It is more like a common story written in a short way, but both the authors has collaborated so well that it doesn’t seem like that two person has written this novel. Words are good but again the grammatical mistakes takes it away. Kudos to both of them for at least writing a story, a novel because it takes a lot to be there where they are at this moment. There was feeling till the end and hopefully both the authors will take it in a positive way and come again with a masterpiece.
I Like-
1)      Coordination of both the authors.
2)      Nisha and Mitu’s friendly character.
I Dislike-
1)      There was no proper ending to the novel.
2)      Ankita, she not just played a game with her best friend but also spoiled their lives.
3)      Grammatical errors takes all the interest.

Once In A Lifetime; Happens Again – Book Review

once in a lifetime happens again

Once In A Lifetime; Happens Again

BY: LOVELY KUMARI & ASHISH KUMAR MALL

Synopsis:

How far can a girl go to make a guy like her? Meet Ashwin. Know his deepest desires. Nothing more than being in love, and not being hurt in the process. Know Ankita, his best friend, his confidant. What will happen when, not just one, but both of Ashwin’s consecutive crushes, think he is playing a puppet master? Fate, as usual, has its own way.

Book Review:

Once is a lifetime happens again is a book about teenage love and the dilemmas associated with it. The story is a simple read and has nothing new to offer. Revolving around the protagonist Ashwin and his crushes (as in my view at this age a person is too young to depict what true love is), it is a light read fit to read during a flight. However, for readers who want a little depth and substance in any book may not find it interesting enough. The novel may resonate well with teenagers who may identify themselves with the protagonist and the other characters.

The narration is simple and language is easy to follow. The cover also fails to impress. I personally found it an average read.

I got a free copy of the book from the publisher in exchange of an honest and unbiased review.

Book Review: Once In A Lifetime; Happens Again by Lovely Kumari and Ashish Kumar Mall

This is a unique book which will be liked by people across all ages and especially by the teenagers.

The story depicts a young boy who struggles to find out the best match for him; a dilemma of every teenager.

MY SAY:

I recommend this book for every teenager as they will be able to connect with the characters well. While reading you can feel the crisp and exhilirating puppy love that every teenager goes through his/her life.

MERITS:

1. The story is well conceived.

2. Sweet little proposals in form of shayaris is an icing on the cake.

3. Perfectly displays how complicated it is to manage relationships in teenage years.

DEMERITS:

1. The book cover is unattractive and at the same time does not speak anything about the story.

2. There are numerous spelling and grammatical errors throughout the book. The book should have been edited twice or thrice more.

Book Review – Once In a Lifetime; Happens Again by Lovely Kumari and Ashish Kumar Mall

Blurb-
How far can a girl go to make a go like her?
Meet Ashwin. Know his deepest desires. Nothing more than being in love, and not being hurt in the process.
Know Anita, his best friend, his confidant.
What will happen when, not just one, but both of Ashwin’s consecutive crushes, think he is playing at being a puppet master?
Fate, as usual, works in funny ways.
About the story-
The story revolves around Ashwin and his love affairs. It depicts teenage love, how Ashwin has a crush on one girl and when things mess up between both of them, Ashwin decides to run away. In the process of running away, he falls for another girl, just to drift apart.
Writing and narration-
The writing style is simple and does not possess any uniqueness. The narration was easy going as well. However, there were a lot of grammatical and printing errors. The story seems off track at few places as well.
Title and cover-
While the title of the book does a bit justice with the story, the cover fails to create any charm.
My verdict-
The book has a sweet and simple teenage love to offer. Where the grammar ruins the flow of the book, on the other hand, the plot somewhere brings a smile on the face of the readers. Overall, this is a light and one time read.
